The cadastral parcel is an accounting unit for the description and mapping of land areas in the real estate cadastre. The parcel is a contiguous, delimited land surface. Parcels of land form the basis for the record of land in the land register.
Information about one's own cadastral parcel can now be viewed via cadastral map extracts. This is done via geoportals at the individual cities and municipalities. These geoportals are constantly being expanded. In the meantime, the working groups of the surveying administration of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany have introduced an official real estate cadastre information system (ALAIS). This system replaces the automated real estate map (ALK) and the automated real estate book (ALB) in Germany by combining this information in one system. If you are interested, you can find out about parcels in the regions of Germany free of charge. However, if you want to obtain proper cadastral maps, you have to submit a corresponding (chargeable) application to the real estate cadastre.
